Our Educational Philosophy

In Primary, we focus on nurturing our children's curiosity, building their confidence in academic and life skills, and fostering a sense of respect for their environment and others. Our motto, 'Independence and Integrity,' reflects the values we instill in each child. We strive to cultivate individuals who embody these qualities.

Junior & Senior
Primary Program

At The Willows, our Junior and Senior Primaries follow an integrated approach with a diverse curriculum. As a registered school under the Department of Education, we adhere to the requirements of the CAPS curriculum and then some! We achieve this through the tangible Montessori method, allowing children to progress at their own pace with Montessori materials.

Cultural subjects are explored through Montessori-inspired lessons, delving into the realms of history, science, biology, and geography. Projects are a key component of our cultural curriculum, fostering hands-on learning experiences. Each year children organise and fundraise for an exciting outing, enhancing their practical skills.

From the more individualised Nursery stage to the collaborative dynamics of Primary, learning evolves. Children actively engage in decision-making processes, from classroom rules to shared responsibilities. Conflict resolution is a collaborative effort with children leading discussions and finding resolutions through holding 'conferences'.
